I set up bit-coin.nz to see if there’s retail demand for bitcoin in New Zealand.
Covid-19 brought me back home and after coming to Wellington and not being able to sell my bitcoin in person, I thought I’d put together a little platform to see if there’s a demand for it.
I’ve been right into bitcoin and blockchain technology back when I first used it in 2011. I was overseas at the time and needed to get money in a hurry and a friend suggested giving bitcoin a crack… In 20 minutes I had money in my hand and I was hooked!
Fast forward to today and the price is a little higher than back then! And it seems more and more people are getting into blockchain / decentralized finance.
